The Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) uses novel technology platforms for biomarker discovery and the development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies.
It is the fruit of a long-standing partnership of more than 20 years between the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) and the Institut Pasteur, Paris, two major international leaders combining their expertise to establish this centre of excellence.
C2i aims to establish a novel technology platform for biomarker discovery and development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies. C2i addresses major unmet global and local public health needs with excellent potential for commercial exploitation.
Communications Assistant (Ref.: C2i068)
Applications are now invited for appointment as Communications Assistant (Ref.: C2i068), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year contract basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
Under the Project & PR Manager, the appointee will assist in publicity and promotion of the Centre and assist in event planning (in person and online events). They should have an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English; hands on experience in social media management and creative content development, including video filming and editing. Other tasks include translation work and administrative support.
The candidate should be a good team player, able to work under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication and problem-solving skills. They should also be a fast learner, highly self-motivated and able to work well with our dynamic research and development teams in a stimulating environment.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in publicity and promotion of the Centre
· Assist in event planning (in person and online events)
· Draft translation work
· Provide administrative support
· Assist in ad-hoc projects and tasks assigned from time to time
Requirements:
· Bachelor/Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing
· Excellent communications and writing skills
· Thorough knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.) and communication tools
· Familiar with video filming and editing (Adobe Premiere Pro etc.)
· Attentive to details and well-organized
· Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Experience in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a plus
· Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
