The Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) uses novel technology platforms for biomarker discovery and the development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies.


It is the fruit of a long-standing partnership of more than 20 years between the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) and the Institut Pasteur, Paris, two major international leaders combining their expertise to establish this centre of excellence.


C2i aims to establish a novel technology platform for biomarker discovery and development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies. C2i addresses major unmet global and local public health needs with excellent potential for commercial exploitation.


Junior Research Assistant, Part-time (C2i067P3)


Applications are now invited for appointment as Junior Research Assistant (part-time), to commence as soon as possible


Applicants should possess a higher certificate or in the process of pursuing a higher certificate, preferably in Biological Sciences, Public Health, Entomology or related disciplines. They should have a good command of spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese). They should work at least 15 hours a week.


He/She is expected to work in a team, with self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn new techniques on need basis. Those with fieldwork experiences related to biological research studies would have an advantage.


The appointee will join a multidisciplinary research team to assist in routine fieldwork sampling and logistics, fieldwork equipment preparing & maintenance, mosquito sorting and mosquito rearing, data recording, entry and filling, database maintenance, and other duties as assigned.
