The Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) uses novel technology platforms for biomarker discovery and the development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies.

It is the fruit of a long-standing partnership of more than 20 years between the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) and the Institut Pasteur, Paris, two major international leaders combining their expertise to establish this centre of excellence.

C2i aims to establish a novel technology platform for biomarker discovery and development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies. C2i addresses major unmet global and local public health needs with excellent potential for commercial exploitation.

Part-time Executive Assistant (Ref.: C2i037)

Applications are now invited for appointment as Part-time Executive Assistant (Ref.: C2i037), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year contract basis with the possibility of renewalsubject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education; (ii) attained Level 2 or equivalent or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or equivalent; or Level 2 / Grade E or above in five subjects including Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent. (iii) good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; (iv) proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and (iv) preferably some work experience in office administration. Having some knowledge of the ERP system would be advantageous.

They should have good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; willingness to work cooperatively with the team; the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines; demonstrated competence in discharging complex clerical duties; a strong sense of responsibility; and a positive attitude. They should be attentive to details, self-motivated, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

The appointee will (a) provide clerical support to general office administration, including data input, filing and facility management; (b) assist in the procurement and logistics arrangement of supplies and equipment; (c) prepare business correspondences; and (d) perform other duties as assigned.
