Head of Business Development / Senior Business Development Manager (C2i122-RP2)

Applications are invited for appointment as Head of Business Development / Senior Business Development Manager at the Centre of Immunology & Infection Limited, to commence as soon as possible on a contract basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The successful candidate will contribute to driving the strategic growth and partnership initiatives of C2i. They will identify and develop new business opportunities, foster collaborations with industry stakeholders, strengthen relationships with existing partners, and support the commercialization of research innovations. The rolealso involves contributing to strategic planning, market analysis, and the development of sustainable funding models to advance the Centre's mission and impact.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate, promote, and implement research, knowledge transfer and commercialization strategies aligned with the Centre’s vision.

• Advise senior management on research policy and strategic initiatives related to commercialization opportunities.

• Provide advice on internal and external research funding applications and their administration.

• Facilitate contract negotiation and agreement management with research collaborators.

• Lead initiatives to enhance societal impact through technology and policy innovation.

• Ensure efficient operations and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

• Provide secretarial support to the Commercial Committee and other internal bodies, and prepare reports and data for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• A Doctoral degree, with at least 10 years of relevant working experience in the biotechnology, health, and/or research sectors.

• Proven leadership in research strategy, grant management, and knowledge transfer/commercialization.

• Solid experience in corporate report writing and compiling statistical reports.

• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

• Strong analytical and organisational skills.

• Occasional travelling and site visits may be required.
