Laboratory Manager (C2i120-RP1)

Applications are invited for appointment as Laboratory Manager in the Research Program 1 of the Centre of Immunology & Infection to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge projects involving multi-omics big data analysis, with a focus on immunology, genomics, and translational biomedical research.

 

Requirements:

  • Post Doctoral Degree in biology, biotechnology, or a related field. Prefer advanced knowledge in biomarkers, immunology, or clinical operations.

  • 2-5 years of experience in project management within biotech or pharmaceuticals. Ideal focus on biomarker research, clinical trials, or diagnostics.

  • Strong knowledge of biomarker strategies. Includes sample collection, analysis, and data management. 

  • Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project or Agile. PMP certification preferred for handling timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Essential for collaboration with scientists, clinicians, and vendors.

  • Technical expertise in bioanalytical methods and data interpretation. Ability to oversee laboratory processes.

  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily lab operations and ensure compliance with GLP/GMP standards.

  • Maintain and enforce SOPs for all lab processes.

  • Manage equipment calibration, maintenance, and procurement.

  • Track inventory of reagents and consumables; handle vendor negotiations.

  • Ensure biosafety and conduct regular safety training.

  • Supervise and train lab staff; allocate tasks effectively.

  • Coordinate projects and resource allocation for biomarker studies.

  • Manage sample tracking, storage, and chain of custody.

  • Prepare lab budgets and performance reports.

  • Evaluate and implement new biomarker technologies and workflows.
