The Centre for Immunology & Infection (C2i) uses novel technology platforms for biomarker discovery and the development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies.

It is the fruit of a long-standing partnership of more than 20 years between the LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) and the Institut Pasteur, Paris, two major international leaders combining their expertise to establish this centre of excellence.

C2i aims to establish a novel technology platform for biomarker discovery and development of new vaccine and therapeutic strategies.  C2i addresses major unmet global and local public health needs with excellent potential for commercial exploitation.

Technical Officer / Senior Technical Officer (Ref.: C2i-128-RP4)

Applications are now invited for appointment as Technical Officer / Senior Technical Officer(several posts) (Ref.: C2i-128-RP4), to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Applicants should possess a M.Sc./M.Phil degree or above in biological/biomedical sciences, biochemistry or a related discipline. Experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques is required. Experience in primary cell isolation, flow cytometry, animal handling and handling microbial pathogens in BSL-2 and 3 laboratories would be an advantage. Those with less work experience may be appointed as Technical Officer. The appointees will work on projects related to influenza and coronavirus under the supervision of Prof. Michael C.W. Chan and Prof. Kenrie P.Y. Hui.
