[Symposium] Quantitative Immunology: From Population to Individual Immunity

1 min read

The immune system varies considerably between individuals and populations, influencing susceptibility to disease and responses to treatment and vaccination.

Co-organised by the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole and the InnoHK Centre for Immunology & Infection (InnoHK C2i), this symposium will highlight recent advances in quantitative immunology, covering population immune diversity, antibody responses to emerging coronaviruses, innovative discoveries in retinal degeneration, and strategies to optimize influenza vaccination in older adults.

Together, these talks illustrate the path from understanding collective immune patterns to delivering individualized interventions.

Date: Friday 20 November 2026

Time: 14:00 – 18:00

Venue: Science Park, 17W Building, 2/F INNO2, Multi-function Room 2-3

The symposium will be hosted by Professor Roberto Bruzzone and Professor Malik Peiris and will feature presentations on population immune diversity, antibody responses to emerging coronaviruses, retinal degeneration research, and optimization of influenza vaccination in older adults.
